Tea Sets for Fancy and Everyday Tea Parties from The Queen’s Treasures
I am a huge fan of tea. I am also a huge fan of tea parties. So much so that in my house at lunch time, boy or girl, I love to set up for high tea!
There is something so magical about fancy sandwiches, scones and jam and the warm liquid gold taste of a well made pot of tea, made even better when shared with friends, family and of course our American Girl dolls. My new favorite set and one I can not wait to complete the collection of is the princess pink pattern offered by The Queen’s Treasures.
As a Mom of three and Aunt of 5 little girls, I love to set out child sized tea cups and saucers for each of them to enjoy during this little ritual. Though some of my nieces prefer hot chocolate, there is just something so special in watching them poor their own “tea” and use their manners.
I am not sure when and why manners went out the window for some families, but tea parties are a great way to model such desired behaviors. Letting children use and care for beautiful items helps them to appreciate the finer things in life, such as manners, responsibility, as well as helps them gain confidence in their abilities at pouring tea.
In minutes a day the introduction of tea cups, tea pots and other tea accessories with or with out your American Girl doll will help to educate the next generation of children in manners and show them that you value and trust them. Now you may have a few broken cups or saucers in your tea party experience over the years, as I have in some of mine but there are lessons to be learned in a chip of porcelain and over spilled milk, lessons you can not get from watching tv.
The Queen’s Treasures offers beautifully made and affordable sets for children as well as having matching tea sets for 18 inch dolls like the Princess Pink Pattern, Tea Party Tea Sets for both girls and dolls! Thus making The Queen’s Treasures my number one choice for birthday party gifts and helping to ensure that Traditional tea parties and their manners are passed down from generation to generation.
